William was a chemist, and mostly engineer, in the petroleum industry for most of his life. His greatest joy was family though. Together, they would have three children and enjoy being grandparents, and great-grandparents.
William was preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife, Jacqueline (Perry) Thompson.
He is survived by sons, Brian Thompson, and Todd (Jackie) Thompson; daughter Julie (Richard) Burel; nephew, Rory Hill of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Courteney Hartman, Kyle Thompson, and Ashton (Todd) Watson; and great-granddaughter Ava Belle Cooper.
