Lee attended Brownsville School in western Kansas and graduated from Brewster High School in Brewster, Kansas. She completed nurses training at Asbury Hospital and graduated in 1949 with a diploma in Nursing.
Married September 2, 1950, to Harold C. Heinrichs in Goodland, Kansas. Their first born Kenton K. made his entrance into the world on May 31, 1953 in Goodland, Kansas and daughter Leann D. was born February 6, 1956, in Oberlin, Kansas. She worked at hospitals in Goodland, Garden City, Dodge City and Wichita, Kansas. She enjoyed working with Boy and Girl Scouts, Golden Wheat Chapter, and American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. She raised her family in the Southwest Presbyterian church and later years enjoyed working with the Parish Nurses. Carol Heinrichs joined the family in 1971, was gone for a while then back when she was six years old to stay.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings; her son, Kenton Heinrichs; 2 grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter.
Lee is survived by her daughters, Leann (Ben) Strobel and Carol Heinrichs; 17 grand and great- grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary with a visitation 1 hour prior. Interment to follow after the service in Resthaven's Garden of Memories, The Garden Gospels, 48C-3.
