Sonja Lee Morgan

Morgan, Sonja Lee, 76, of Wichita, Kansas, wife of John Paul Morgan, passed peacefully in her home on the morning of October 14, 2018, with her loving husband and granddaughter. She was born on December 28, 1941 in Belmont, North Carolina to Floy and Bertha Johnson. In addition to her husband, Sonja is survived by son; Doug Morgan, granddaughters; Joy (Eric) O'Halloran and Sonja Faith (Chase) Goddard, as well as grandsons; Jeremiah Johnson and John Isaac Johnson. Survivors also include brother; Neil (Barbara) Johnson, sister-in-laws; Judy (Don) Evans, Janice Harvey, son-in-law; Michael (Carol) Johnson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter; Donna Johnson, her mother; Bertha Johnson, father; Floy Johnson, sister; Glenda Hubbard, brother; Leonard Johnson, and in- laws; Clarence and Pauline Morgan. Sonja worked as an office manager for Sedgwick County Extension Service until retirement. She was very involved as a Sorority Sister in Wichita Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and loved her sisters there very much. Visitation will be from 1 to 2pm on Thurs. Oct. 18, 2018 with celebration of life services following at 2pm both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Her loss is immeasurable but so is the love she leaves behind. Memorials have been established in her name and loving memory to Serenity Hospice, 9415 E. Harry, Ste. 306, Wichita, Kansas.
