Bob retired from USD 259, where he served as both teacher and principal, for many years. After retirement Bob came to work part-time as a funeral attendant for DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary (1989-2013) working over 24 years before leaving the funeral industry.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles F. Snell; brothers, Charles L. Snell and John D. Snell; sisters, Alice McNichols and Ardith Talbot; two granddaughters, Erin Rasmussen and Kara McLain. Survived by his loving wife of 71 years, June, of Wichita, son, Kenneth J. Snell (Rita), of Oak Park, IL, daughters, Barbara McLain (Allen), of Ransom, KS and Debra Snell of Andale, KS, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place 3:00pm-5:00pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita. Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Friday, November 22, 2025 at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita with burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
