Preston Levi Sykes

Preston was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hiking. He loved spending time with his son Xavier, family activities and friends. He also enjoyed writing and producing music. Preston's favorite holiday was 4th of July. He always had a beautiful smile to share with everyone. He was very loving and compassionate with everyone who crossed his path.

He is preceded in death by his late grandfather Clarence E. Reeves of Parkersburg, WV, late step-grandfather Gerald R. Carpenter of Belpre, OH.

Preston is survived by one son, Xavier Isaac Sykes; mother Rhonda K. Sykes; father Timothy C. Sykes; sister Ashley D. (Cory) Lies (KS); 1 niece Nevaeh R. Lies (KS); 2 nephews Dakota J. Lies (KS), and Parker I. Lies (KS); grandmother Anna Reeves Carpenter of Belpre (OH); 3 aunts, Terry (Kenny) Frame, Judy (Bobby) Stephens, and Wendy Reeves all from Parkersburg, WV; 1 uncle Randy Reeves of Parkersburg, WV.

A memorial visitation service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 3 p.m to 7 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
