Peter Joel Hageman, age 51, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was born April 9, 1973 to John P. Hageman and Karen S. (Carmichael) Hageman in Wichita, Kansas. Peter lost his battle with pancreatic cancer after a six-month fight.
Peter spent his early years in Beaverton, Oregon and Thousand Oaks, California. After another family move to Austin, Texas, Peter graduated from Round Rock High School in 1991. He received his Bachelor's degree from St. Edward's University and went on to Baylor University School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate. He worked at law firms in Austin, Dallas and New York City.
Peter loved sports and participated in basketball, baseball and golf. He was a big fan of the New York Yankees, the New York Knicks, the LA Dodgers and of course the Kansas City Chiefs.
Peter was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry & Helen Hageman, Glen & Violet Carmichael; aunts and uncles Jack & Regina Carmichael, Joel T. Hageman, Jean Hageman Jones, and Jim Jones.
Peter is survived by his parents, John and Karen Hageman of the home; sister Jill Hageman (Michael Maheras) of Westlake Village, California; and cousins Cara Graves and Lea Morrow of Wichita, Kansas and Jamie Ianson and Scott Jones of Pulaski, Virginia.
Graveside service for Peter will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, June 4th, at Lakeview Cemetery in the Memory Garden, 12100 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
