Penny served as a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital and Dr.Ochsner for over 40 years.
She married the love of her life Russell Hancock on July 27, 1970. Together they had three children Jan, John and Jay.
She loved going on many trips on the Harley with her husband, gardening, and spending time with family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell and son Jay.
Survivors include two children Jan (Ryan) Williams, John (Dana) Hancock; five grandchildren Tyson Baker, Robbi Klug, Tayler Akin, Lauren Akin, and Mallory Hancock; four great-grandchildren Ava, Addi, Kai, and Emery; one sister Joey Brooks and a close knit of friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist of Clearwater, 306 E. Ross, Clearwater, Kansas 67026.
