Peggy Linville Snider entered into heaven on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Vintage Park at Eureka in Eureka, Kansas. She was born in Eskridge, Kansas on February 28, 1939 to Oscar Malcom and Nellie Stanford Linville.
She graduated from Burlingame high school and attended Washburn University in Topeka and worked for Goodyear. She married and had four children. She later completed her education at Washburn University in Social Work and moved to Eureka to practice social work in children services and advocacy. She retired in 1999 and became a substitute teacher in Eureka.
She married Savoy Snider in 1999 and enjoyed a lifetime of service to the Eureka community. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, Kiwanis Club, Altrurian Club, Eureka Garden Club, Eureka Music Club, and the Red Hatters.
Peggy and Savoy lived on Eureka Lake and enjoyed celebrating holidays and spending time with family and friends on the lake. They later moved into town and Peggy continued her volunteer service, substitute teaching at Eureka schools and traveling the country. Peggy and Savoy spent their winter months for many years in Florida and Maricopa, Arizona soaking up the sunshine before returning home in the spring.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Savoy of the home, four children: Phil Bodine, Las Vegas, Nevada, Jackie Wilson, Overland Park, Kansas, Paul Bodine, Fort Worth, Texas, and John Bodine, Fort Worth, Texas. She was also blessed with four grandchildren: Fletcher Harder, Shawnee, Kansas, Makenzie Harder, Lenexa, Kansas, Zachary Bodine, Parksville, Tennessee, Alex Bodine, Weatherford, Texas, they survive.
A Catholic mass will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eureka, Kansas. Rosary will begin at 9:30AM with mass to follow at 10:00AM. Graveside service will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
