She was a graduate of William Christian High School in Independence, Missouri.
On November 29, 1957, she married Roger Brown in Independence, Missouri.
In her younger years, they enjoyed bowling and dancing together. Mary played Bunco and participated in Bible Study Fellowship. She was the owner and operator of Diet Center, Wichita.
Mary loved spending time with her family, especially enjoying her grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Donald Rogers, Jr.; two sisters, Jeanne Ann Barnes and Ginger Craven; a great-granddaughter, Grace Harris and a great great-grandson, Kingston Hudson.
Survivors include her children, Kirk and wife, Janet Brown, Sherrilyn and husband, George Zinck, all of Wichita, Kansas, Tyra and husband, Rob Birk, Parker, Colorado; sister, Vicki Hazelrigg, Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Kathryn Brown (Brian) Tolle, Anne (Chris) Weber, Benjamin Brown, Alicia Shoffner, Veronica (John) Smith, Joleen (Josh) Gaylord, Aaron Olson, Kelsey (Jacob) Bloom, Sam Birk; Alexis Moore; great grandchildren, Evelyn, Violet and Lyla Tolle, Owen and Matilda Weber, Alexis and Savanah Tucker, Emma Ponce, Portia (Riley) Rentaria, Destinee Sneath, Faith, Chad, Chasity, Kyle (Karla) and Cody (Abby) Smith, Austin Olson, Eric Luster, Maximillion Dollar, Cora Gaylord, Levi and Mason Bloom, with one on the way; and great-great grandchildren, Ranger, Remington, Ruger, River Rentaria, Legacy and Legend Hudson, Riley and Payton Smith, Naveah Thomas, Nicholas and Emma Smith, Cody, McKenna and Alena Smith, Alexus Dobbs and Braxton Olson.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 on Wednesday, November 27, 2024; funeral service will be at 10:00 Friday, November 29, both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Lakeview Cemetery, Garden of Prayer.
