After graduating from Assembly of God college of Waxahazie, Texas, she became a pastors wife and mother of three. Martha was a Christian first and foremost throughout her life. She was an active member of her church, and was a guiding force to many through her walk with Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her first husband the Reverend Gordon R. Norris, and eldest son, Gordon Norris, Jr.
She is survived by her loving and adoring husband, Clarence Edward Herington; sons, Wes (Susan) Norris, and Brad (Kristi) Norris; four step-children, Mary Kay (Jim) Vorhies, Kenneth (Dee) Herington, Pam Verbeck, and Dawn Herington; many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored; and a whole host of loving family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
