Marlin G. Davis

Davis, Marlin Glenn, 87, of Wichita, Kansas passed away Monday December 7, 2015. Marlin was born on November 27, 1928, in Waterville, Kansas to Lewie and Lily Davis. Marlin and Marilyn were united in marriage on Dec. 9, 1950 in Topeka, KS. Together they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Marlin was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was loved by his family and will be missed. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, playing dominos and spending time outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marilyn Davis and brother. Survivors include, daughter, Joyce (Steven) Hartman of Wichita, grandchildren, Jennifer and Stacy Hartman both of Wichita, sister-in-law, Dorothy Weaver McGinnis of Topeka, nieces, Linda (Anna Marie) Weaver and their son Jorden of Topeka, KS, Deanna (Victor) Solimine of Austin, TX. A visitation with family present will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Funeral services for Marlin will be 1:00pm both on Thursday December 17, at Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Dignity Celebrant Cyndi Pearce will officiate. Memorials have been established in his name and loving memory with the American Cancer Society.
