Margaret E. Garrison, 74, beloved sister, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 suddenly in her home. She was born March 12, 1941 in Denver, CO. She married Bud Garrison on February 14, 1969 in Denver. They lived in Denver, Enid, Las Vegas and Grand Junction before moving back to Enid, OK in 1996. Her husband was a self-employed contract painter and Margaret helped him as well as raising their six children. After Bud’s death, Margaret remained in Enid before moving to Wichita in 2006 to live with her daughter, Laura and son-in-law. She was retired by this time and made numerous friends in her daily activities. She was able to travel to Germany in 2006 to see her son and also to Oregon and Hawaii with her with daughter and sisters. She loved the outdoors and poetry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Edna; husband, Bud Garrison; brother, Sonny; son, Mark Garrison; grandson, Charles Dunning III. Margaret is survived by two sisters, Katherine Rogers of Tennessee and Alice Tolen of Colorado; her sons, James Miller of Germany; Charles Dunning of Fairview, OK; John Garrison of Wichita; daughters, Laura Foust of Wichita and Teresa Key of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Kim Vega, Jennifer Miller, Michelle Miller, Eric Dunning, Brian Dunning, Seth Garrison, Trevor Garrison, Jeni Pierce, Madison Foust and numerous great-grandkids. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, KS 67211. Due to her wishes there will be no viewing and cremation will take place. She will be fondly remembered by her friends and family and missed forever. God Bless You, Margaret. XOXO
