Lois was born on September 9, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Mae (Kinworthy) Moore. She grew up in Baxter Springs, Kansas and moved later in life to Wichita, Kansas. She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Ray Brown on February 3, 1962, in Miami, OK. She was a longtime member of First Pentecostal Church in Wichita, Kansas.
Throughout her life she enjoyed baking, volunteering at the church, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Brown; one daughter, Eva Mae; two brothers, Raymond and Jim Moore; and two sisters, Virginia Thacker and Bonnie Whited.
She is survived by her five nieces, Linda Norman, Debbie (Sam) Gomez, Vickie Moore, Leatha (Dennis) Braland, and Jeannie (Robert) Barker; a nephew, Bill Moore; and four-generations of nieces and nephews.
Visitation to be held Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11:00 am and the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 pm at Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita, KS. Reverend Arley Forsyth of the First Pentecostal Church in Wichita will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.
