Leon Mitchell, Jr.

Leon Mitchell Jr., 71, of Wichita, Kansas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Leon was born on May 9, 1950 to the union of Leon, Sr. and Helen Mitchell in Millport, AL. Leon and Darla Mitchell were united in marriage on Oct. 10, 2000 after a 14 year courtship. He was preceded in death by his parents; son; Carl Baker, brothers; Terry Mitchell, Miguel Mitchell, Horace Mitchell, sisters; Olene Bridges and Sandra Ann Mitchell. Survivors include his loving wife; Darla Mitchell, children; Deric (Melanie) Mitchell, Jeff (Penny) Mitchell, Leon Mitchell, III, LePaul Mitchell, Charles Smith, Greg (Jennifer) Simpson, II, Yolander Mitchell, LaQuesha Mitchell, LaLonda (Terrance) Taylor, Athena Simpson, brothers; Melvin (Martha) Mitchell, Joe Ross Mitchell, Lonnie (Lisa) Mitchell, Sammie Mitchell, John Albert Mitchell, sisters; Teresa Mitchell, Euritha Mitchell and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.

Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday December 9, 2021 at Kechi Cemetery, 6525 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas.
