Lenora R. Thomas, of Haysville, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. She was born in Inola, Oklahoma to Ruben W. James and Clara Pearl Hartley. She grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from there. She married John E. Thomas on Thanksgiving Day Nov. 25, 1954. Lenora loved to sew, work around the house, watch baseball and basketball on T.V. along with Old Western Movies. She also loved to play dominoes and do crossword puzzles.
A Visitation for Lenora will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 W. 13th st. N, Wichita, Kansas, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM.
Serving as pallbearers are Don Cross, Dan Nixon, David Cross, Nash Hinkele, Tom Hinkele and Robert Cross.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, brothers, Carl Ruben James and Edgar James; daughter, Mary Ruth Fletcher and a grandson, Shawn Davis. Survived by her sons: Elbert Dean Thomas and William E. Thomas and sister, Helen Fowler.
