Larry Dale Swartz

Swartz, Larry Dale, 74, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Sat. the 17th of Oct. 2015 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. Larry was born on the 9th of Sept. 1941 in Filbert, PA the son of Charles and Francene Swartz. Larry and Bonnie Swartz were united in marriage on Sept. 11, 1971 in Wichita. Together they celebrated 26 years of marriage before her passing in 2001. Larry retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant. Larry had a charitable heart and gave to many organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bonnie, brothers, Robert Swartz, Charles Swartz, Jr., sister, Joyce Lane, son, Terry Swartz. Survivors include his loving children, Jeannene Sherrill of Wichita, Tammy (Bob) Copeland of Wichita, Dana Swartz of AZ, Sherry (Vince) Martin of Wichita, Brenda (Matt) Shepherd of Emporia, KS, Bobby (Lisa) Swartz of TX, siblings, Eugene Swartz, Sumerduck, VA, Charlotte (Gilbert) Macias of Stafford, VA, Sharon Porter of East Millsboro, PA, Carl Swartz, Grindstone, PA, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10am on Fri Oct. 23, 2015 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Dignity Celebrant Cyndi Pearce will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials are to the Disabled American Veterans, 926 N. Mosley St., Wichita.
