John "Whitie" Harris, age 90, retired Boeing employee, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents; son, John A. Harris; sisters, Goldie, Florene, Esther, and Lenora. Survivors inlcude: wife, Velma; sons, Jackie Harris, Piedmont, OK, Rusty Harris, Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Aaron, Johnna, Zack, Aspen, and Dustie; great grandchildren, Indiana, Kendrick, Alyssa; other family members, Jeremy, Kelly, and Tanner. Visitation 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 4 to 6; funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, both at Hillside Funeral Home, 935 N. Hillside, Wichita; burial will follow in Old Mission Mausoleum. A memorial has been established with West Side Nazarene Church, 2300 S. Seneca, Wichita, KS 67213.
