Age 74, retired Machinist from Sunshine Metals, passed away June 1, 2018. He was born on January 18, 1944 in Wichita, KS to Jesus Benavente and Guadalupe Gallardo. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather who will be deeply missed. He was preceded by his parents and his wife, Charlene. John is survived by his sons, Damon (Shannon) and Robert Benavente; daughter, Annette (Paul) Petersen; siblings, Marty and Robert Lopez, and Belinda Benavente; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation at 12:00 PM with funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 7 at Resthaven Mortuary.
