Joe Henry Gonzalez, 70, went to golf the great fairways of Heaven, July 21, 2018. Joe Henry retired from Northern Natural Gas after 39 years of employment. He was very proud of his home and kept everything very organized. Even though he was a sensible and practical man, he also had a bright and ornery demeanor. He loved to golf and loved to teach it to his grandkids. He was a former member of what is now known as the Eagle's Pub and Golf Course, was an avid newspaper reader, a great dancer and enjoyed raking it in at the Casino. One of his favorite pastimes was frequenting the movie theater. He enjoyed watching and critiquing movies, and could easily spend the whole day there watching films back to back. Joe Henry was his family's pillar and authority who taught them many life lessons; some big, some small, but all of them had a lasting impact on their lives. He was a loving man to all that were dear to his heart and he will be missed deeply. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose H. and Lucila G. Gonzalez; sister, Ernestina Gonzalez and grand-daughter, Olivia Mirella Ramirez. He is survived by wife of 18 years, Debbie; daughters, Veronica (Jaime) Ramirez, Melissa (Sal) Rangel and Jennifer (Chad) Shultz; son, Clint (Erin) Graber; grandchildren, Omar Ramirez, Blake Shultz, Cara Shultz and Mason Graber; sister, Natalie Gonzalez; brother, David (Rose) Gonzalez, mother-in-law, Naomi Schuchman; brothers-in-law, Mike Byers and Don (Deb) Byers; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His Celebration of Life Gathering is at the Eagle's Pub and Golf Course, 3 p.m. Tues. July, 24, 2018. Memorial donations may be made to the charitable organization of the donor's choice in Joe Henry's name.
