Jerry "J.D." Conley

Jerry Dean Conley (JD), 73, passed away January 7, 2022 peacefully at his home. He was born in Wichita, KS on Aug. 28, 1948 to parents, Don & Opal Conley. Together they had 3 children Joyce Rutledge (St. Louis, MO), preceded by Connie Preston (Augusta, KS). Married to his wife, Deborah (Baum) Conley of 54 years. Together they had two daughters, Christy (Steve) Anderson, with 4 sons; Jake (Macy), Jesse (Tierra), Justin (preceded) and Joel (Rachael). Candace (Robert) Morris, with 5 sons; Aaron (Logan), Austin (Lexi), Ashtin (Melissa) Alec and Zion, 9 grandsons and 9 great-grandchildren; Jaiden, Justin, Ruby, Sailor, Ryliegh, Jasper, Tobias, Damon, Kieran. He leaves behind to mourn his loss, wife; Deborah; Sister; Joyce Rutledge; brother-in-law, Bill Baum and many nieces and nephews. JD was an avid Nascar Fan, hunter, bowler and boating enthusiast. He loved working on cars and working in his garage. He retired from OK Transfer & Storage after 40 years. A visitation will be held on Wed., Jan. 19, 2022 from 2-6pm at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita. Service will be 11am on Thurs., Jan. 20, 2022 at Hillside Christian Church, 8330 E. Douglas, Wichita. A burial will be held at New Salem Cemetery, in Burden, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Hillside Christian Church, 8330 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67206 or the charity of your choice.
