Jean (Virginia) Ault, 70 of Haysville/Derby, KS was called home March 10, 2012. Jean was born in Caldwell, Kansas April 30, 1941, to Jess W. Wildhaber, Jr. and Deloris A. Bruce. Jean was a loving mother, housewife and friend.
She retired from Kisco in Wichita, KS. Where her incredible people skills enabled her to be a successful sales person, as well as working in the bindery department for this printing company.
Jean enjoyed the simple things in life: cooking, fishing, painting beautiful pictures and having as many people in her home to cook for and spoil as she could.
Her favorite vacations were in Woodland Park, Colorado. She and her husband Duane made many friends on the numerous trips there. Catching trout and taking pictures of the wildflowers were some of the things she enjoyed the most. Jean also enjoyed going on cruises. She went on 2 cruises with Duane, and 3 cruises with close family members.
Jean was a very active member of Cedar Chapel United Methodist Church. She helped with Vacation Bible School, implemented their Food Pantry, Sunday school as well as other duties. She enjoyed receiving her newsletter when the time came that she could no longer make the trip to the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Duane Ault, sisters Marie Anderson and Donna Thompson, half-brother Dannt Wildhaber. Survived by daughters Lea Masters (Larry) of Derby, KS; Gina Rice of Wichita, KS; stepchildren Dan Stambaugh (Julie) of Omaha, NE; Debbie Smith of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Christie Smith of San Antonio TX; Kenneth Ault (Jennifer) Ft Riley, KS; Audrey Nelson of Wichita, KS; Ethan Nelson of Wichita, KS; Mary Masters and Sabrina Masters of Derby, KS; great grandchildren Duane Ault, Cayenne Ault, and Joan Ault of Ft. Riley, KS. Jean has many Nephews, Nieces, and cousins that she also loved very much.
Memorial service is Monday, March 19, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home West.
