She was born on December 16th, 1986 at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend, Kansas. She is survived by her daughter Zaylee Carr, parents Alfred and Liz Fleske of Larned, Kansas, and Diana Fleske of Wichita, Kansas; and grandmother, Margaret Sell of Woodward, Oklahoma.
Janell married Sergio Carr (Wichita KS), on November 16th, 2006, but they divorced in February of 2015.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Rena Fleske of Larned and Bud Sell of Woodward Oklahoma.
Janell has several siblings: Rodney Erwin (Gardner KS., wife Suzanne), Alisha Guerra (Goddard KS, husband Rick), Jennifer Leiker (Wichita KS, husband Anthony), and Jedidiah Fleske (Larned KS, wife, Danielle). Janell was a fully devoted mother and loving aunt to several nieces: Emily & Jacey Erwin, Ella, Ava, and Lainey Fleske, and Aria Guerra.
Janell had a passion for Christ and her daughter. She received her Master’s degree in Special Education at Southwestern College, all while raising her daughter and fighting cancer. For the past 13 years, she’s been a Special Education Teacher and was deeply loved by her students and staff at McLean and Jackson Elementary Schools.
Janell attended Northside Church of Christ and Westlink Church of Christ, Wichita KS.
Janell has requested cremation and in lieu of flowers, memorials sent to Club Hope, Northside Church of Christ, or Promedica Home Health and Hospice.
