He was born Febuary 17, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas to Austin Curtis and Pearl Scovell.
James met the love of his life Darlene, they were married October 22, 1966.
He retired from Richie Paving, where he was known to be a hard worker.
James enjoyed fishing in his spare time and was very kind and helpful with everything he did.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darlene Curtis and many other loving family members.
A graveside service will be held, Friday, August 16, 2024, 10 am, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
