Jack E. Henry, age 95, passed away November 11, 2020, born September 7, 1925 in Madison, Kansas, to Virgil Henry and Nanny Stinnett. Jack served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946 after which he attended Fort Hays State University on the G.I. bill earning certification in refrigeration, heating and air. He worked the entirety of his career at J.H. Bowman Co., inc., retiring in 1985. Jack continued to work after retirement in the career he loved serving many friends and customers he met and made during his time in the industry. He was very grateful for those relationships made during those many years, speaking fondly of them and sharing many stories. Jack met the love of his life, Betty Hough (Vanderpool) in 1980 and began a new chapter in his life, expanding his family with Betty and her children. They remained together sharing many adventures in their life and creating many more memories. They remained as perpetual newlyweds until his passing with her by his side in his final moments.
Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Medora Stinson, Helena Robertson and Juanita Gruber; brothers, William Henry and Vernon Henry; son, Michael Henry; and grandson, Joshua Loux. Jack is survived by his wife, Betty Hough-Henry and her three sons, Gary, Greg, and Gordon; his children, Nancy, Sunita, and Tommy; and all their respective families including numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation from 5PM-7PM Friday, November 20, with Funeral Service 1:00PM Saturday, November 21, both being held at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
Inurnment Ceremony to be held at a later date in Eureka, Kansas, at Greenwood Cemetery.
