Thompson, Gordon D., 85, Master Carpenter, passed away Aug. 2, 2011. He was born to Ruben and Iva Mae Thompson in Great Bend on Sep. 3, 1925. He married Goldie Sharlene Schamaun on May 27, 1945. Visitation will be 9-5 Sat. and Sun. at Hillside West, 2929 W. 13th St. N. Services will be 10:00 AM Mon., Aug 8, at Antioch Christian Church, 3741 W. 15th St. N., Wichita. A memorial gathering will be held later that same day at the First Christian Church, 5630 Broadway Ave., in Great Bend from 3:00 to 3:30 PM in lieu of graveside service. He is survived by 3 sons, J.D. (Sondra), Charles (Debbie), and David Thompson, and 1 sister, Donna Warren. He had 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Memorials: Antioch Christian Church.
