97, born to Earle and Mertle Pelham on July 14, 1920 in Neosho Rapids, KS, passed away on August 5, 2017. She was a past ladies auxiliary president for VFW Post 3115, lifetime member of American Legion Post 256 and member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Evelyn is preceded by husband, Elmer F. Wortman; sons, Sonny Tanner and Glenn Wortman; daughters, Loretta Jolly and Deborah Ungerer; brother, Bud Pelham and parents. She is survived by daughter, Betty George; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 5-7 PM. Funeral service is Friday, August 11, 2017 at 1:00 PM, both at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be given to Bethany Lutheran Church, 1000 W. 26th St. S., Wichita, KS 67217 or VFW Post 3115, 4801 W.
