Eric J. Porter

Porter, Eric J., 38, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Fri. Sept. 16, 2016 in Wichita. Eric was born the son of Pam and Roger Lee Porter on August 5, 1978 in Wichita. Eric was a 1996 graduate from Arkansas City High School and he graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in business in 2001. Eric was fun loving, loved all people and gained joy from making others happy. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Cope, Lee Vernon Porter, grandmother, Kathleen Porter, great-aunt, Nell McNair. Survivors include his mother, Pam Porter of Wichita, father, Roger Lee Porter of Stillwater, OK, brother, Tim (Lachelle) Porter of Arkansas City, KS, grandmother, Ruth Cope of Wichita, aunts, Pat (Steve) Neace of Wichita, Peggy Riebel of Mulvane, KS, Connie (Lewis) Priode, Johnny (Kathy) Porter and Pamela Porter all from West Virginia, nieces, Taylor and Tatyn, nephew, Tagen, cousins, Amie Wingfield, Haley Riebel, Jason Porter, Crystal Adkins, Seth Periode and John Periode and his beloved cat Tia. Visitation will be Tues. Sept. 20, 2016 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral services will be 2pm on Wednesday Sept. 21, 2016 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Eric’s love of people encouraged him to donate his organs in order to help others.
