Ellen T. Brown

Ellen T. Brown, 81, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in Wichita. Ellen was born the daughter of James and Agnes Malone on August 25, 1941 in Great Bend, Kansas. Ellen's favorite things included Reading, Praying, Attending Catholic Mass and visiting friends. She loved Horseback riding, Country Western dancing. Classic western movies, KU basketball and the KC Chiefs. She loved her parents (Agnes, her mother and James, her father) and took exceptional care of both of them for several years and provided care, dignity and compassion. She loved her brothers and made sure to always provide what she could to her nephews, nieces and her Granddaughter, Emily. Fond memories include, The nights we camped in the bronco in grandma’s driveway. Her babysitting her granddaughter and playing with her. Watching Football together and her delicious cooking and making sure her sons friends were always happy. Ellen’s wit and sense of humor were always present even if she was having any stress or pain. Her generosity was witnessed by everyone that got the chance to know her. Ellen’s constant smile and passion for serving Christ never faltered. Ellen worked as an accountant for many years at the VA assisting Veterans of all branches of Military Service. Ellen possessed amazing resolve & strength to overcome any challenge. All while still making sure everyone else was taken care of. Ellen was a devout Catholic and charitable spirit who donated faithfully to several Catholic and care-related organizations. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bob Malone, Paul Malone, Ben Malone, John Malone and Joe Malone. Survivors include her son, Kevin Brown of Wichita, brother, Tom Malone of Wentzville, MO, granddaughter, Emily Brown, nieces and nephews, Colleen Malone of Wentzville, MO, Jane (Jeffery) Fairchild and their children, Grace, Joseph, Elizabeth, Charlie; Patrick (Karen) Malone and their children, Oliver, Abby, and Kiera; Tom (Christine) Malone and their daughter, Novena; David (Jamie) Malone, and their children, Molly, Alana, Connor; Bob Malone (Jen) and their children, Madeline, Charlotte, Paul; Ann Malone, Sherri (Terry) Rider, and their daughter, Stephanie Rider; Suzanne (Bryan) Witt and their children Braden, Jessica and Annika; Shawn Malone and Dan Malone and many extended family. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday February 16, 2023 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, KS. Rosary will be on Friday February 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Mass following at 10:30 a.m. both at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 E. Grand St, Wichita, Kansas. Entombment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery, 7200 E. 45th St. N., Bel Aire, KS.
