Dustin Phillip Klug, age 39, beloved and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022. He was born March 31, 1983 to Mark and Lana (Bauer) Klug in Wichita, Kansas.
Dustin had a contagious smile and laugh, a zest for life, and always had a way of making sure people felt welcomed and loved.
Dustin loved spending time with his wife (Delilah) and two children (Devin & Aaliyah). To anyone that was around Dustin and Delilah, the love they shared was crystal clear. They would never use each other’s 1st name, instead it was always “my love” or other terms of endearment. Dustin made it clear to all that Delilah was the love of his life, and he was extremely proud of the life that they built together for themselves, and for their children. Dustin also made it a priority to be heavily involved in the kid’s activities, and loved sharing stories and pictures of everything the kids were doing. It was very easy to see that those kids meant the world to him.
Dustin enjoyed football Sunday’s (Who Dat!), Thanksgiving dinners, and other various activities that would bring family and friends together for great food and wonderful laughs. He was also an avid guitar player who enjoyed playing with family and friends. There were many times during these occasions that the family would enjoy sitting around Dustin in the guitar room, or sometimes in the garage and listen to him play.
Dustin had a very special bond with his brothers (Shane and Shawn) and sister (Sarah). He never called them by their 1st name, instead, it was always “Bro” or “Sis”. That was special to them and something they will hold onto forever.
Dustin was a loving, kind, and involved son. He would always offer to jump in and help with any situation, and would call his mom (Lana) and dad (Mark) quite frequently just to “check in” and make sure everything was going well.
Dustin had a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and worked for NetApp for 16 years as an Escalation Engineer. He was happy to be a part of NetApp and was very proud of all the relationships he was able to build while working there.
Dustin is survived by his father, Mark Klug; mother, Lana Bauer (Tracy); wife, Delilah A. Klug; son, Devin M. Klug (17); daughter, Aaliyah G. Klug (7); brothers, Shawn (Amber) Klug and Shane (Jennifer) Klug; sister, Sarah (James) Biggs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
