Donald W. Duckett

Duckett, Donald Wayne, age 66, passed away November 3, 2010 . Don was born in Wichita , Kansas , son of Ivan and Berniece Duckett. He attended Wichita schools and was a graduate of Wichita State University . He served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne of the U.S. Army. His working career was centered in the aerospace industry, owning his own company, which employed approximately 200 people in the Detroit , Michigan area. Don was preceded in death by his father, Ivan and his brother, Bill. Survivors include his wife, Val; brothers, Mike (Cindy) Duckett of Wichita; Dan (Jackie) Duckett of Overland Park, KS; Robert (Marilynn) Duckett of Blue Springs, MO; his mother, Berniece Duckett of Overland Park; son, Boyd Duckett of Wichita; daughter Christina (Brad) Pistotnik of Wichita; step-son, Jeremy (Beth) Stewart of Kennesaw, GA; five grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorials have been established with Amedisys Hospice, 250 W. Douglas, Suite 101 , Wichita , KS 67202 and the Wichita Seventh-Day Adventist Church , 820 W. 27th St. South , Wichita , KS 67217 . Visitation will be at Resthaven from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8. Services and burial will be held at Resthaven 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9.
