Dan was born December 12, 1949 in Devils Lake, ND to Fred and Harriet Glock. As a teenager, Dan was drafted into the Army. Dan was a proud veteran but was a private one - he served in the Gypsy Bandits unit in Vietnam. After returning from Vietnam, Dan married the love of his life, Connie Catlin, on June 29, 1971. Together they had three children, Kris, Karen, and Wes.
Dan worked as an auto mechanic for many years before retiring, along with working on the family farm.
Dan was preceded in death by his father Fred, mother Harriet, brothers Bob and Keith, and grandson Trenton.
Dan is survived by his wife Connie, children Kris (Joe), Karen (Harry), Wes (Erika), grandchildren Marissa (Michael), Savanah (Josh), Quinton, and Gracelyn, and great-grandchildren Alyssa and Ryan, brothers Randy, Rusty, Richard, and Kelly, and sister Melody (Joe).
Dan is remembered as a loving husband, father, and papa. He had a heart of gold and was kind and compassionate.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 West 13th Street North, Wichita, KS 67203. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023, also at Hillside Funeral Home. Committal will immediately follow at White Chapel Cemetery.
