D. JoAnne Neal

D. JoAnne Neal, died on December 3, 2015. Born in Medicine Lodge, Kansas to Helen (McKirahan) & Paul Basey in 1927. JoAnne graduated from Plainview High School in 1945. She retired from the VA in June of 1985. She married Harold Edwards in 1945, Donald F. Stewart in 1967, and present husband Terry L. Neal in 1980 as members of Epworth United Methodist Church. In 2014 they joined the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. JoAnne was preceded in death by F.E. Wegand (father), Helen Basey (mother), Basey Twins (sister & brother), Donald F. Stewart (husband), Michael W. Edwards (son) and Len Neal (brother-in-law). She is survived by Terry Neal (husband), Steven Edwards (son), Lila (daughter) & Dennis McKee, Roger (son) & Lisa Stewart, Kay (daughter) & Keith Reissig, Joy Beckner (sister in law), Hal (uncle) & Janet Wegand, and grandchildren – Paul Edwards, Susan (Levi) Neilovics, Emmy (Andrew) Johnson, Bodie McKee, Elijah, Aaron & Natasha Reissig and Abigail Stewart along with many cousins and dear friends. Viewing Wednesday 12- 8 p.m. at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary. Funeral Service Thursday 11:00 a.m., with visitation at 10 a.m. at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Memorials sent to: Mt. Vernon U.M.C. or Gentiva Hospice. Arrangements under the direction of Devorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, Wichita, KS.
