Skinner, Cora Mai, born August 26, 1924 in Oklahoma passed away suddenly December 10, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Cora moved to the Wichita, Kansas area with her husband, Leroy Skinner shortly after WWII, where they lived most of her life. After Leroy’s passing, she moved to Fredonia, Kansas area with her companion, LaVern Dewees. Her last few weeks were spent living with her daughter in Newkirk, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar W. and Pearly Etta (Washburn) Hollingsworth, husband Leroy Skinner, daughter Janetta Finley Wilson, son Gary W. Skinner, and 2 great grandsons. Survivors include her companion, LaVern Dewees, Ponca City, Oklahoma; daughter, Patricia Pulis and husband Harold, Newkirk, Oklahoma; son, Michael Skinner and wife Sharon, Ozark, Missouri; 2 step-daughters, Jackie Smith and husband Ralph, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Cammie Dillard and husband Bob, Wichita, Kansas; 2 step-sons, Bob Dewees, Wichita, Kansas, and Rod Dewees, Phoenix, Arizona; many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren. Graveside service is 3:00 pm Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
