Carole A. (Conn) Gilbert, age 85, of Rose Hill, Kansas passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. Carole was born January 7, 1936 in Concordia, Kansas to Emma Laura Conn and Adolphus "Buzz" Conn. Carole retired from Great Plains Ventures Inc as an Executive Assistant after 37 years of service. Carole always said her GPV co-workers were like her second family. .
Carole was preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Gilbert; her father Adolphus "Buzz" Conn and her mother Laura Emma Conn.
Carole is survived by her sons Patrick and Shannon Gilbert, daughter Kim Gilbert and grandchildren Michael Gilbert, Nicholas Gilbert, Zachary Clark, Damien Gilbert and Madison Gilbert.
Her family was very important to her and she loved them very much. Carole always hosted the family for the holidays at the country home she built with her husband in 1976. They built their house on 10 beautiful acres with a pond. She enjoyed playing various games with her kids and grandkids. When healthy she enjoyed gardening and always made sure the bird feeders and baths were full. She'll be remembered for her great smile, contagious laugh and caring ways. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation with family present will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home in the Wheat Venue, 12100 E 13TH ST N, Wichita, KS 67206. A celebration of life will occur Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Lakeview Funeral Home in the Meadowlark Venue.
