Brian G. Teter, 60, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2024. Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Brian was just four months old when his family moved back to Wichita, where he spent the rest of his life. He attended school in Wichita and Goddard before beginning a 37-year career with Boeing and then Spirit AeroSystems, from which he retired in April 2024.
Brian was a loving father, brother, and friend. He is survived by his son Colt Teter and his wife Caroline, his daughter Ashley Wieters and her husband Kyle, his four grandchildren Aubrey, Hunter, Norah, and Stella, and his siblings: Andrea Teter (Harald Schweigert), Mike Teter (Dilla), and Lon Teter (Susan Edgerley). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Jeanne Teter.
Brian had a deep love of the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing, and cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He spent many of his days cruising the acres of the Teter Compound on his golf cart, often with a grandchild or pet by his side. He loved taking care of the many animals that lived there with him, especially feeding the goats their favorite treat—tortilla chips. Brian also had a short stint in bull riding, reflecting his adventurous spirit. He had a fascination with myths and legends, particularly the Sasquatch, which showcased his imaginative and curious nature. He leaves behind fond memories of his kindness, goofiness, dedication, and warm spirit. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held at Resthaven, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, KS 67209 on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 1 PM with a graveside to immediately follow.
