Algie Lee "Al" Hall

Wichita, Kansas - Al left this earth on April 14, 2023, to join his beloved bride of 61 years, Rena Ellen (Neal) Hall in heaven with their Lord Jesus.

Al (as he would say "the gie" is silent!) was born on May 1, 1941, to his loving mother Emma Lee (Morris) Hyatt & Algie Hall in Tupelo, Arkansas, they proceed him in death. Al and his big brother Billy (Jean) Hall were raised on a cotton farm by their beloved grandparents Ida & Ed Morris, Billy survives him.

On July 4, 1960, Al married the love of his life, Rena, (whom he referred to as the most beautiful girl in the whole state of Oklahoma), when she was 16, and he 18. In 1961, their first daughter, Linda Kay was born, (Linda passed in January 2022. She was survived by daughter Sarah and grandson Bradley). Rena joined Linda in heaven in March of 2022. Their second daughter Susan Renee (Hall) was born eleven months later in 1962, Susan (Hall) Hunter and her husband Danny, Susan's sons Seth (Hannah), and Jake Bowles survive him. Seth's son's Judah and Isaac Bowles (and their mother Codie), and Seth and Hannah's new son Ezra Bowles also survive him, as do Susan's six stepchildren with Danny. Al and Rena had their child Jimmy Hall in January 1966, he and his only son, Tyler Chambers survives him.

The family enjoyed many trips to Table Rock Lake where Al taught all three children to waterski. Al worked and played hard! He started welding before he was 20 years old and became a master welder, starting his own company, Almar Boiler Works in the early 70's. He and his best friend Bill Tumbleston started the mini stock (Volkswagen division) at 81 Speedway where they built mini modified cars, with he and Walt McWhorter taking turns at the wheel winning five championships. Years later, Al was inducted into the 81 Speedway Hall of Fame.

Al and Rena sold Almar Boiler Works in 2000 and traveled the United States, Canada and Mexico and taking their dream cruise to Alaska. They built their dream home on Table Rock Lake and eventually moved back to Wichita to be closer to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Al was funny, kind, hardworking and a proud member of the NRA. He loved collecting and selling guns, even making his own bullets and selling them at gun shows in Kansas and Oklahoma. Most of all, he loved his wife and now holds her in his arms again. Susan, his "baby girls," as he called her, will forever long to hold her daddy's hand until she joins them in heaven. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2:00pm, at Riverview Baptist Church, 844 53rd St. N., Wichita, Kansas, 67204, followed by burial at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Hwy. 54, Wichita, Kansas, 67209, in the Garden of Freedom.
