Al, better known as Papa, was a man of profound faith, a true and faithful servant of God. He loved the Lord and his family fiercely, followed by a real enthusiasm for ice cream! Al enjoyed woodworking, metal detecting, reading, story-telling, and being involved in all his grandkids’ many activities. He will forever be remembered as the Papa that played “That Did It!” with his beloved Grandkids. Al was an intelligent, ornery, special, and kind person, role model of faith and perseverance, exceedingly generous, loved by many, and will be deeply missed.
Al was preceded in death by his father, Albinus J. Dreiling and son, Shawn Dreiling.
He is survived by his mother, Cecelia Pshigoda; wife of 57 years, Carol Dreiling; children, Shane (Melanie) Dreiling, Stephanie (John) Whaley and Sarah (Scott) Thome; brother, Daniel (Lee Ann) Dreiling; sister, Lynn (Darrell) Haun; grandchildren, Justin Dreiling, Tylor Dreiling, Wyatt (Kacy) Dreiling, Morgan (Ethan) Hays, Jackson Whaley, Jenna Whaley, Jameson Whaley, Jillian Whaley, Dalton Thome, Parker Thome and Collin Thome; and great grandchildren, Hollie Anderson, Maddox Jackson, Avery Dreiling and Waylon Dreiling.
