Bill was a Christian and went home to be with his Heavenly Father on September 9, 2021. He passed away peacefully at his home following a short illness. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home with graveside services to be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park.
William Maxwell Haynes was born to Lura Frances Keaton and Fred Maxwell Mayes on July 12, 1939 in Waco, Texas. He was later adopted by Allen Haynes whom his mother married after the death of Fred.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and his first grandchild, Brandi Marie Devers.
Surviving relatives include his three children, Jerry David Haynes of Wichita Falls, Texas, Sandra Kay Haynes of Wichita Falls and William Maxwell “Billy” Haynes, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Shannon Roseli and husband, Mike of Wichita Falls, Megan Pizzitola and husband, John of Houston, Texas, Kaycie Williams and Joshua Sanders of Wichita Falls, Cheyenne Martinez of Wichita Falls, William “Billy” Michael Haynes and wife, Brooke of Amarillo, Texas and eight great grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Michael, Konnor, Carson, Samantha, Joshua and Blakely. Bill is also survived by his former wife, partner, best friend forever and loving caregiver, Sue Hadley.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Kristi, Liz and Baylee from Hospice of Wichita Falls and Leslie and the staff at Best Care Home Health for all of the love and care they gave to Bill during his final days. It will never be forgotten.
