Peggy Ann Robertson, 91, resident of Brenham, Texas, peacefully passed away December 4, 2012. She was born in Appalachia, Virginia on September 25, 1921 to Theodore and Patsy Williams. Peggy graduated in 1939 from Appalachia High School. She married her childhood sweetheart, Walter Holly Robertson, on August 1, 1942.
She spent her life as a professional homemaker, a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and generous great-grandmother. She was an Air Force wife for twenty plus years, following her husband on many tours of duty, both overseas and across the nation. She then went on to teach painting classes in Wichita Falls for many years. Cooking, antiquing and decorating were her passions. It was said that if you received a dinner invitation to Peggy’s home, don’t turn it down.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother James Williams, and her sisters Nancy Baker and Alice Williams.
She is survived by three daughters and one son, Holly Chao and husband Peter of Missouri City, Texas; Vicki Jordan of Brenham, Texas; Teresa Hutson and husband Sonny of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and Tom Robertson and wife Rhonda of Wichita Falls, Texas. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, Joseph Chao and wife Kimmer, and their son Michael; Theo Chao and wife Martha; Sarah Dunham and husband Daryl; Michael Jordan and partner Moses Bueno; Peggy Muehlstein and husband David, and their children Garrett, Mason, and Grace Ann; Patsy Beettner and husband Steve, and their children Nelson, Jackson, and Carson; Bobby Jordan and wife Kristy; Casey Hutson and her daughter Zoe; Thomas Robertson; and Chris Robertson and girlfriend Krysta Anderson. She is also survived by two brothers, Bob Williams and wife Bobbie of Clinton, Tennessee; and Joe Williams of Wareneck, Virginia; sister-in-law Bettye DeBerry and husband Eddie of Roanoke, Virginia, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved four-legged companion, Rosie.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to a charity of your choice.
