Maria Eneida Maulden, 88, passed away Sunday, June 27th, 2021 in Wichita Falls Texas. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday July 2nd, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. A Rosary with visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Thursday, July 1st, 2021 in the chapel at the funeral home.
Eneida was born November 14th, 1932 in Terceira Azores to Francisco and Maria Milagres Ferreira. She married Robert Maulden in Terceira, Azores in 1950. Eneida worked for Gibson's Discount Center many years before she retired in 1998. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church where she was involved in several organizations which included the Altar Society, Saint Jude Circle and was a founding member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She truly loved each and every member of these organizations with all her heart and looked forward to each meeting. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting but she especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.
Eneida was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, Robert, her parents, four siblings and grandson, Zane Maulden.
Surviving relatives include her three children, Eairnest Maulden and wife, Sherry of Wichita Falls, Charles Maulden and wife, Diane of Edgewood, Texas, Maureen Laukhuf and husband, Larry of Wichita Falls, eight grandchildren, Matthew Maulden and wife, Maggie, Amy Simmons and husband, Jay, Tara Maulden, Stephen Maulden and wife, Summer, Monica Maulden Buescher, Meghan Johnson and husband, Julian, Melissa Lyle and husband, Brad, Aaron Laukhuf and Ashleigh Prather and husband, Logan, Eleven great grandchildren, brother, Vielmino Ferreira and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Maulden, Stephen Maulden, Aaron Laukhuf, Jay Simmons, Brad Lyle, and Logan Prather.
Memorials are suggested to be donated to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
