Lois Bryan, 90, of Wichita Falls passed away Thursday, April 04, 2013 in a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 6, 2013 with Jade Huston officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:30 Friday evening at Hampton Vaughan.
Lois was born April 9, 1922 in Childress, TX to Zach and Julia (Herring) Gray. She was a nurse in the area for over 20 years. Lois was affectionately known to many that loved her as “Nana”. “Nana” loved life and was always ‘Ready to Go’- whether it be a night of dancing, a game of bingo, a trip across the river, a grandkids sporting event or a trip to see relatives. Nana’s 90 years were filled with many friends and countless adventures and it is in those memories that she will live in our hearts forever.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers and sisters and her special friend, Coley Coleman.
Survivors are her daughters, Patsy Ferguson and husband, Jim of Wichita Falls and Connie Powers and husband, Jim of Silver City, NM; a sister, Helen Hardin and a brother, Al Meredith both of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Missy Duffle, Kerri Gorman, Christi Hayes Garfinkel, John David Hayes, Laura Hayes-Efe, Eric Hayes and Christian Howard; 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and other family.
