She was a graduate of Hirschi High School. She was a very loving and caring single parent to her two children, Leticia and Manuel.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angel Herrera, her mother, Guadalupe Gamboa Benavides, and her loving aunt, Soledad Gamboa.
She is survived by her father, Ramon Benavides, her brother Jay Benavides, her daughter Leticia Herrera, and her son Manuel Herrera.
She was especially proud of her grandchildren, Michael Brigham, Josiah Brigham, Dezirae Brigham and Lorenzo Herrera.
There will be a memorial service Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Chapel honoring the beautiful person she was.
