Funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Vigil will be held from 6 – 8 PM, Friday at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
Jesse was born on March 5, 1938 in Wichita Falls to Isa and Cuca Galindo Martinez. He married Alfonza Morales on August 26, 1957 in Wichita Falls and she preceded him in death in 2016. He worked at Levi Strauss in Wichita Falls for many years and served in the National Guard. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Wichita Falls, where he served as usher and other capacities. Jesse was a golfer in his younger years and he loved to fish and to have cook outs. He is also preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his children: Mary Martinez, Irma Martinez Wheeler and husband George, and Gloria Martinez, all of Wichita Falls; sisters: Gloria Lopez and Mary Garcia; brother: Arthur Lopez; grandchildren: Jesse Stokes, Jason Stokes, Monica Paulin, Dr.Randy Jackson, Juan Jackson, and Garet Gill; and great-grandchildren: Isaiah and Isaac Sims, and Bralon Paulin.
