Services for James, (Jim) White Bryan of Wichita Falls will be 2 PM, Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial with Naval Honors will follow in Crestview Memorial Park.
Jim passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the age of 81.
Mr. Bryan was born on August 6, 1934 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Gus and Velma Dromgoole Bryan. He married Amanda Joyce Hutson in Wichita Falls on February 25, 1958. and she preceded him in death in 2003.
He served in the U.S. Navy for two years and then attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. Jim also served on the Wichita Falls Police Department, owned an oil company, but spent the majority of his working life in the plumbing and air conditioning supply business. He worked first with Conner-Gibson Supply as part owner, then with Fields and Company and finally Ferguson Supply. In his retirement years, he worked for Scott Skipworth Plumbing. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids, who were the light of his life.
Jim is survived by his daughter: Connie Tally and husband, Jarrel of Wichita Falls; grandson: Sgt. Justin Tally, U.S. Army of Fort Carson, Colorado; granddaughter: Peyton Tally of Wichita Falls, and many dear friends, who will miss him terribly.
He is also preceded in death by his sister: Dorothy Ann Collier in 2006 and his parents.
