Doris Ann Jones

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Cheryl Pauley Stack and Father, James Stack, a brother, Jerry Stack and two half brothers, Bobby and Adam Stack, her husband, Leon Jones and a daughter, Joy Jones Reed.

She is survived by a sister Shirley Pitts and husband, C.T of Valley View Tx., brother, Jimmy Stack and wife, Cindy of Will’s Point Tx, half-brother, Doug Stack, half-sisters, Betty Masching, Loretta Johnson, Gail Allen and Glenda Terry, daughter, Sandra Tressler and husband, Mike of Wichita Falls, Tx, a stepson, Osro Benson, stepdaughter, Rowena Bavaro and daughter in law, Phyllis Benson all of Springfield Or. She was also survived by six grandchildren, all of Wichita Falls, Texas, Russell Jones, Shalena and husband, Marc Brock, Jennifer Tressler, Hayley Patterson, Amanda Tressler and Jarred Tressler. She has seven step grandchildren in Oregon Jeffery Benson, Tammy Schultz, Todd Benson, Stacey Anderson, Larry Wright, Lori Calhoon and Ricky Wright. She was loved by six great grandchildren in Texas and twenty-one great grandchildren in Oregon along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She quit school to help her mother with three younger siblings. She returned for her GED and two college degrees in her 40’s all while raising two daughters alone after a divorce. She was employed at Pat’s Drive Inn from 1974-1984 and at Construction Agricultural Supply from 1984-2016. Doris enjoyed helping people. She always put others above herself. Cooking was not only her hobby but something she enjoyed doing for her family and friends. She loved God with all her heart and felt that her calling in life, especially after her health would not allow her to do much else, was to pray for the salvation of all her family. Her love of God and family is what kept her going constantly even until the very end. She held strong to her faith in God. She touched many lives and will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Funeral Service will be 10 A.M. Friday, July 2, 2021 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Holliday Cemetery in Holliday Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 6-8 P.M. at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel.
