Donita was born in Durant, Oklahoma, on September 17, 1962, to Jim and Linda Blades. She is survived by her husband, William Hill II; two daughters, Kelcie Koerner and husband, Kurt, Brittany Alexander and husband, Adam; parents, Jim and Linda Blades; sister, Dianna Carney and brother, Dennis Blades and wife, Patti; four grand children, Elizabeth, Violet and Ryan Koerner, and Riley Alexander; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her son, Joshua Brack Hill.
Donita graduated from DeSoto High School and immediately went to work in the field of Dentistry. She married, raised her children and later moved to California, where she went back to school and became a dental hygienist. Donita was passionate and dedicated in everything she did, and dental hygiene was no exception.
This was recognized when she was asked by the American Dental Association to go to a meeting in Puerto Rico to speak about dental legislation.
Of course, she turned this into a beautiful trip as well, with the opportunity to walk under waterfalls and see the land. She loved exploring, and telling stories about her adventures. This particular time, one of her stories was that a rock had flown from the top of one of those waterfalls and just happened to land right in the middle of the camera screen she had borrowed from her daughter, Kelcie. What a way to get a new camera!
Though Donita worked as a hygienist in California for a time, it was her greatest passion, family, that eventually brought them back to Texas. The family settled in Wichita Falls, where Donita continued working in dentistry, until her death.
Donita loved gardening, chickens and doing all kinds of outdoor things. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and would do anything for them.
She touched many lives through her work and loving nature, and will be greatly missed by all.
A funeral service for Deborah will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1917 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
