David Allen Rex

David Allen Rex, 47, of Wichita Falls passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joy Joseph officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 Friday evening at Hampton Vaughan with a Rosary to be recited begining at 7:00 PM

David was born August 10, 1965 in San Bispo, CA to Albert Rex and Jessie (Long) Rex. He married Barbara Patlan on September 18, 1990 in Vernon, TX. They moved to Wichita Falls from Granbury, TX in 2009. David was employed as a Psychiatric Nurses Assistant at both Vernon State Hospital and North Texas State Hospital for 15 years. David was an outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and fishing, liked to collect antiques and play the lottery. He adored his family more than anything, especially his grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his father, Albert Rex. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Wichita Falls; his mother, Jessie Kelley of Granbury, TX; sons, David Lopez and wife, Valorie, U. S. Air Force, Adam Lopez and wife, Darlyn, U. S. Navy and Chris A. Rex and wife Brittany Lusty of Granbury, TX; brothers, Tim Rex of Delaware and Robert Rex of Grandfield, OK; grandchildren, Eliy Lopez, Emi Lopez, Auri Lopez and Brenleigh Rex and two more on the way.
