Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014, in the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Charles was born on February 15, 1930 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was one of five children born to George and Oma Martin. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1947 and from Midwestern University in 1957. He served in the Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany during the Korean War. He married Catherine Irene Nelson of San Jose California in 1955 and they enjoyed 59 wonderful years together. He was employed by Bridwell Oil Company and retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kenneth, Richard, Gayle, and sister Virginia.
Survivors include his wife Catherine, daughters Linda and husband Lawrence Doty, Lisa and husband Bill Lovelace, Karen and husband Brady Beshear, Amy and husband Gary Norriss, all of Wichita Falls. He and Catherine were blessed with fourteen grandchildren.
