Brenda K. Simpson

God’s angels were at her side as those last days, moments, memories and last breaths came and went. She made her peace with all who she loved, even when her words failed, God knew whom she thought of at that moment. The heavenly angels took her soul to God so she could start her heavenly journey and gain her heavenly wings. Sometimes God knows the words in our heart that are hard to speak to our loved ones…no matter how hard it is, give that hug and sign of love always.

On earth, she enjoyed fishing, billiards, sewing, and cross-stitch, loved her dogs and volunteered at Meals on Wheels.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Audrey B. McCord-Flaherty and stepfather, Martin Flaherty, father, Charley Walter Ladd, sister-in-law, Jimmie Hooks.

She is survived by her son’s Derick Lee Simpson and wife, Angela of Wichita Falls, TX, Brandon Scott Simpson and wife, Elizabeth of Garland, TX.

Her life legacy continues with grandchildren Clayton Lee Simpson and Bryson Andres Simpson of Wichita Falls, TX, and Milea Rain Simpson of Charlotte, NC.

Her surviving siblings are brother, Butch Ladd and wife, Cathy of Iowa Park, TX, brother, Charles Ladd of Bedford, TX and sister, Shirley Anderson and husband, Rodney of Breckenridge, TX. Including surviving nieces and nephews, Cherry King of Millsap, TX, Clay Ladd of Russellville, AL, Allen Ladd of Fort Worth, TX, and Darrell and Chad Anderson of Breckenridge, TX.

There will be a small graveside service for family and friends, to be determined. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Meals on Wheels of Wichita Falls, TX.
