Billie Jean Stafford Campbell, 79, passed away in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday, September 10, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Deerinwater officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday at the funeral home.
Billie Jean was born on August 10, 1932 in Rochester, Texas to the late Obie and Georgie (Hayes) Stafford. She married Charles “Chuck” Campbell on February 1, 1949 in Weinert, Texas and he preceded her in death in 2009. Billie Jean lived in Wichita Falls for over 30 years after living abroad in Brazil, Singapore and the Canary Islands. She operated a booth at the Wichita Falls Flea Market for 26 years, retiring in 2010.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne Dobbs of Fort Worth, Texas and her son, Larry Campbell and wife, Judy of Ada, Oklahoma; brother Donald Stafford and wife, Sandra of Great Falls, Montana; sisters, Shirley Bond and husband, Ted of Iowa Park, Texas and Linda Posey also of Iowa Park; grandchildren, Shannon Wayman and husband, Gary of Fort Worth, Texas, Jamie Brown and husband, Robbie also of Fort Worth, and Kyle Campbell and wife, Kerri of Moore, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Austin Wayman, Alorah Brown, Shawn Brown, Jaxon Brown, and Allie Campbell; beloved niece, DeDe Tatom and husband, Terry of Iowa Park, Texas,; also many more nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Billie Jean was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Campbell in 1997.
